Teenager Coco Gauff was knocked at the first round – days after winning her maiden WTA title out of the Luxembourg Open.
Russian eighth seed Anna Blinkova in just 59 minutes, beat american world number 71 Gauff, 15 6-4 6-0.
Gauff became the youngest player to win a WTA title in beating former French Open winner Jelena Ostapenko.
Gauff and compatriot Caty McNally are in the doubles quarter-finals of the women.
I am really happy with my performance, said world number 66 Blinkova, who will perform Germanys Tatjana Maria at the second round.
I didnt make a lot of errors and I had the correct strategies. I was calm today, and that I did my job.
I was really focused. I understand she is a fantastic player and that I knew that she was coming from a WTA championship triumph, so I was well prepared.
